As part of a scheme from Manchester-based social enterprise YP Potential’s ‘One Mile Project’, we have been funding climbing lessons for pupils in schools across Manchester.
The latest school to benefit from this funding is Church of England School of the Resurrection in Beswick. A mixed group of children recently took part in a 10-week National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) at the Manchester Climbing Centre.
The climbing lessons are designed to encourage co-operation and trust and build the confidence of those taking part. The children thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and we look forward to working with more schools in the future.
