Charles Lauder

Charles is an organisational development consultant, coach, and facilitator with particular expertise in diversity and inclusion, organisational change, and communication skills.

He has helped senior management teams think differently and lead and manage change in challenging circumstances – such as constrained finances or mergers and restructures – supporting them in embedding D&I into mainstream operations. Charles has worked extensively with NHS Trusts, local authorities, and arts sector organisations in the UK and Europe. Previously (1997 – 2014), he was co-founder and joint managing director of Talawa Consulting, specialising in D&I.

Also a film, television and theatre director, his credits include ’Coronation Street’, chart-topping live concert recordings by ‘Happy Mondays’ and ‘The Farm’, and two short films – ‘Blue Irises’ and the award-winning ‘Journey’.

Charles has been Chair of Contact – a beacon for innovation, diversity and young people’s talent, and a nationally leading organisation for new and emerging art-forms. He also served two terms on the Greater Manchester Courts Board.

He was born in Jamaica and has a daughter, a son, and a granddaughter.
